  What is Mindful Therapy?

Often when we come to receive a treatment such as a massage, we allow ourselves to get so relaxed (or our minds stay so busy!) that we miss the subtle workings in the mind from the body's attempts at relaxation.  In mindful therapy, both the client and the practitioner continually work to stay present with the what happens in the moment.  Body scans, breath work, guided imagery and body centered dialogue...these are all techniques employed to facilitate the theraputic experience of using the body as a lens for self discovery.
