Summer: Growth, Warmth, Fullness
Here we are again, opening back up to all the amazing growth that takes place over the summer months. Our gardens begin to bear fruit, the streets of Bar Harbor overflow with visitors and there are long summer nights to enjoy the beauty of nature's blossoming. As the world around us evolves and changes, so does the world within us. This is mirrored outwards in many different ways; the most obvious being the change in our appearance as we grow, the most subtle being internal movements that only you are aware of. As growth occurs, so does change, and we begin to let go of things that no longer serve us and step into the parts of our lives that are blooming. Mindful transformative therapy sessions hold the intention of facilitating your awareness to the interplay between your mind and your body. A typical session with me, whether you come for massage or Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, is 90 minutes long and includes the following elements: you will experience time to check in and center as a way of fostering awareness around your intention for what you are coming here to receive; a hands on portion of the session; and time at the end to reflect back on what held meaning for you from the session and how that might guide you in creating a deeper connection to yourself on a day to day basis. |
